Integral Vinyasa Yoga
Joyful Yoga™ utilizes the practice of Integral Vinyasa yoga, a form of Hatha yoga that is customized for individuals of all abilities and levels of experience.
Integral Vinyasa Yoga can be broken down into its respective parts.
The practice of Integral yoga synthesizes the four original forms of yoga by tradition: Gyan, Karma, Bhakti, and Raja (see What is Yoga?). It can also be seen as integrating Eastern and Western forms of spirituality.
Vinyasa yoga is practiced by synchronizing the breath with every fluid movement of the body and mind. Each breath is also used to strengthen and sustain each posture throughout the asana sequence. Vinyasa Yoga identifies and respects the physical, emotional, and mental conditions of each individual and adapts proper methods accordingly.
Integral Vinyasa Yoga, therefore, combines the principles of the four traditional forms of yoga with the physical practice of harmonizing the breath, body, and mind.
